Our Taupo Sewing Shop
The Eye Of A Needle is a one-stop sewing shop – for all your sewing supplies.
We stock a wide range of patchwork fabric, linen fabric, sewing accessories, 100% merino wool felt, kits and a small selection of giftware in our Taupo store.
We are gradually expanding our dressmaking fabric range and patterns.
We are the official BERNINA dealer for the Taupo region; drop in to choose your new Bernina sewing machine. We pride ourselves on outstanding after sales support and can service or repair your Bernina sewing machine when needed.
During school term time we run a variety of weekly classes – check our monthly newsletter for dates and times. We often host one-day creative workshops on Saturdays. If you’re a small group visiting Taupo for the weekend, we can tailor a workshop just for you – prior booking is essential.
We run several Block Of The Month projects throughout the year, and we are happy to mail your kit if you live outside the Taupo area.
Our focus is equipping you with the tools you need to complete fun, creative projects. The products we stock in store and online are chosen to inspire you to make something special.

I am a creative stylist who loves to cook, sew, garden, teach, encourage & equip others. As a former Primary School Teacher, I love teaching – kids are my passion.
I am passionate about colour and ‘do it yourself’ projects. I love helping you choose colours for
your next project.
